“How do I become authentic?  The truth is, authentic is not something you become; It’s something you already are.  Authenticity is not something you seek or take on, it’s something you simply embrace.” ~ Bob Burg and John David Mann

Melissa’s Words of Wisdom

It really comes down to you seeing that there is more value in you being the real you than there is in you pretending to be someone you are not.  See that YOU are a gift; YOU are special and magnificent and have a lot to offer this world!  If you can’t see that value, it will be very difficult to embrace it.  Take some time to reflect on how different the relationships in your life would be if you could communicate and express yourself from a place of authenticity.  I believe that when you are operating from a place of authenticity you are in a natural state of love, kindness, curiosity, playfulness, and happiness.  At your core, being authentic is your natural state.  It’s not something you force or pretend.  Look at a baby, a baby doesn’t need to pretend to be loving, kind, curious, playful or happy.  They just naturally are… and SO ARE YOU!  Embrace it!!  Remember, nothing happens until you decide to take action!  Leave a comment below about how you will embrace your authentic self.  Happy Embracing the Authentic You!

  1. Heidi (Edit)

I’ve learned with authenticity, that I continue to find more things about ME that I appreciate, and like you said, EMBRACE!! When we embrace ourselves, we actually appreciate others more.
