“Authenticity doesn’t mean you can’t use preplanned words.  It just means that when you do, you have to make them your own, in both your head and your heart.” — Bob Burg and John David Mann

Melissa’s Words of Wisdom

I love this! I am all for practice practice practice.  I love to polish up a keynote, a workshop, an elevator pitch, etc.  However, a MUST to all of my communications both professional and personal is that they are me and they come from my heart.  I am terrible at using someone else’s scripted words that don’t resonate with me.  I feel awkward and fake when I try and force myself to say something inauthentic.  I don’t have the confidence and poise that I have with my own words.  How about you?  Do you feel that way too?  Be true to yourself! Be Authentic! Happy Being Authentically You!!  Remember, nothing happens until you decide to take action!  Leave a comment below about how today’s Daily Words of Wisdom impacted you and what action you’ll take.

Get out your agenda/journal for today because

It’s time to A.C.T!

The A stands for ACTION.  What inspired action will you take today?
The C stands for CHANGE.  What purposeful change will you make today?
The T stands for TEACH.  What can you teach someone else today?

Write it out. Commit to it!  Take inspired action, make purposeful changes, and teach what you have come to know with someone else who could benefit from your wisdom!!  Nothing happens until you take ACTION!

It’s time to SHARE!

I typically do not reply but I most certainly appreciate all of the wisdom my coaching associates possess and share with the world. This theme of authenticity is very near and dear to my heart. If someone were to ask me what is the beginning of authenticity and how do you build the foundation of authenticity and what is the key to building solid integrity in business….I would say hands down. EMPATHY/COMPASSION for others….especially in the personal development field. In my humble opinion this theme of authenticity and empathy needs to be a larger part of training. It is the foundation of true healing for others.

Once I began getting the $$$ out of my head and people’s true needs my focus, my business began to flourish. I believe you will be blessed with more authentic opportunities and possibly make a larger impact when you are on this path.

Most recently my father, business associate and I have been asked to keynote the state of Michigan mental health conference speaking to 1,000 professionals…..there is nothing greater than sharing ideas with leaders who then can influence their clients and those in great need. It is no longer about the $$$ but the difference you make in this world and then the $$$ shows up as a by product.

Thanks for all of your wisdom you share with the world Melissa.
