I have someone in my life who is brutally honest with me. I look at it as a compliment because she can be that honest. However, I also know, thanks to my coaching, before when it would upset me sometime with how brutally honest she was, NOW, I know that she is that honest because some of her lower self-esteem could be part of why she is that brutal. Once I realized that, the brutal part of the honesty has now become less brutal, and more just wanting better for me.

I look at it as growth for both of us.
