“A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.” ~ Ayn Rand

Melissa’s Words of Wisdom

Some think that the point of being competitive is so you can celebrate in the victory of crushing your opponent!  Well, I actually believe there is a much healthier and more exhilarating way to compete and that is to compete with yourself.  Seek to crush YOUR OWN records, play YOUR best game, and show up YOUR best self!  Constantly focusing on the other person as a benchmark of your growth and success is just blocking your own creativity.  Instead, use their experiences as part of your research and data collecting on how you can alter your approach.  Then focus on how you can reach, stretch, grow, outdo yourself, and go where you have never gone before!!  Remember, nothing happens until we decide to take action!  Leave a comment below about which one of your records you’re working on crushing.  Happy Crushing Your Own Records!!

Get out your agenda/journal for today because

It’s time to A.C.T!

The A stands for ACTION.  What inspired action will you take today?
The C stands for CHANGE.  What purposeful change will you make today?
The T stands for TEACH.  What can you teach someone else today?

Write it out. Commit to it!  Take inspired action, make purposeful changes, and teach what you have come to know with someone else who could benefit from your wisdom!!  Nothing happens until you take ACTION!

It’s time to SHARE!

Please share with us what A.C.T.s you took today as well as hear from other readers?  I encourage you to leave your experiences/testimonials, comments, and additional thoughts below.

I totally agree. I don’t believe in the concept of competition. At least not with others. It used to make sense… to survive. These days we are far away from surviving just because we won from someone else (who didn’t make it).
It can still feel good to win over someone else, but somewhere deep down it doesn’t.
It feels much better to support someone to achieve his/her goal, even if it the same as yours. Win together!
