Doesn’t it just drive you crazy sometimes when your mind is all over the place!? It’s thinking about the past, then the future, then the past again…argh! I know it surely drives me crazy! I call this mind chatter. It’s when you have a difficult time focusing on the present moment because there’s all this chatter going on in your mind about everything BUT the present! When I catch myself stuck in this mind chatter state, I take a nice big deep breath and call myself into the present moment. I step back from whatever experience I’m having and be an observer of it. I assess what’s really going on and look for how I can maximize and fulfill the present moment. I am in much more resourceful state when I’m present versus when my mind is all over the place. Try it out yourself. It’s a great way to feel empowered in the present moment and not give into all that mental chaos! Happy Interrupting the Mind Chatter!!
