It’s far too common for effective communication go out the window and for unpleasant things to be said and done simply out of anger. Usually when someone is angry, the thoughts running through their mind are generally not very positive and, at times, not even rational. Next time you feel yourself getting hot under the collar, take a moment and BREATHE and gather your thoughts before you speak or do anything. Remember, you cannot take spoken words or actions back. It will serve you to stop and first process your thoughts. Remind yourself how critical effective communication really is in that kind of situation. …and actually in every situation!
