“Very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scene.” ~ Christopher Benson

Melissa’s Words of Wisdom

Have you ever thought the grass was greener on the other side? I know I have and I’ve even gone over there to check it out!  More often than not, the grass is NOT greener on the other side… it’s usually the same ol grass, just on a different piece of land.  Many times we are looking for happiness and brighter days in something outside of us.  We think if we just change jobs, locations, spouses even, that we’ll finally be happy.  We think they are the problem and they need to change.  Take a good look at your current circumstances and look for ways that YOU can change.  Embrace your own self-growth.  Look for ways that you can BE more!  Remember, nothing happens until you decide to take action!  Leave a comment below about what you will do to continually invest in your own self-growth.  Happy Embracing Your Self-Growth!

I think also being aware to always learn more. When we work to improve what is already successful within ourselves, makes us even more self-aware to ourselves and those around us. Also, as you said, sometimes it’s not what is around us that has to change, it’s putting the mirror in front of our face and realize, it’s us!!
